well, if it makes you feel better i know someone who had a kitchen upstairs and downstairs...
they had a full kitchen in the basement for canning and veggies and stuff, and then another full kitchen on their main level - but techincally it was upstairs compared to the downstairs one...

so when you walk into the house what do you see? the living room?
and does that mean your dining room is upstairs too? because it really wouldn't make sense to carry the food downstairs.

In one of my old houses the kitchen was upstairs. But the door was in the middle between the upstairs and downstairs on a landing space. So the upstairs was still the main floor.

no, when you walk in you see stairs. Yeah, my place is like that. You walk in onto a landing, there are stairs leading up and stairs leading down. The upstairs is the main floor too, with most of the bedrooms, the kitchen ( ) and yes, the dining room.

Yeah but proton, your kitchen's not DOWNSTAIRS either. you don't have a downstairs! You have a floor!! Yay floor. That is what I said I have known homes with the living part upstairs and the bed rooms downstairs, so when you walk into the house you see the stairs and you visitors had to go upstairs (Unless you was taking the to bed #hihi# )
