Heres a memory for 1986,,After my Officer Naval training course in 86 at Parris Island SC (yes at a Marine base camp lol)I did not stay in after training because my grand maw was on her death bed and they were going to station me on a submarine somewhere under the sea only God knew where and if there was a emergency only way id know is red cross would contact me and I could not have that so I came home and started my chemical engineering adventure and many many hours worked at top pay for a 19 year old was crazy, so help me out, get your calculator out and keep in mind anything over 40 hours was time and a half, I made 15.50 a hour in U.S dollars which was a lot in 86, I worked 16 hours a day, 7 days a week and that was just for a 7 year spread, if done right thats around 40,880 hours give or take I worked so you do the time and a half money part with that(I hate math and im a chemist lol go figure),,but anyhow it was a lot of money you can tell me your answers in the comments below, but me starting work early in life and working hard all those back breaking restless years helped me to provide for my family on what would happened to us in 2002 but the down side I worked so much I missed watching my boys grow when they were babies due to the many hours I worked.

86 was my first year of Art School! What a time to be in Chicago and have fun drawing with friends every week day! The 80s were awesome with the best music, the funky hair styles and clothes and our language

1986 - I was in the midst of my metal days and going to rock concerts all the time. I was living on my own and not home a lot. I was a major partier.
