Do you prefer to support local businesses over global corporations?
If so, give an example.

Usually yes, though not because they're from *my* country specifically, but because they're less successful than global businesses. I'm not really a stickler about brands so if there's something decent and not a mainstream company then why not
If it's stuff like groceries then I mostly go for whatever's cheaper, which may sometimes be local products.

I'll support local business but sometimes something like a restaurant is easier than a store if a store doesn't sell items I need.

The village shop is handy for buying a newspaper or items missed from the weekly supermarket shop - But it is the supermarket in town that's cheaper and has a wider range.

I'll take small businesses any day, because I made a $20 donation to help get the small businesses in Chicago get back on its feet after the George Floyd riots 4 years ago.

I try to do so as much as I can, given that they are fading in this era of the world.
