Alice in Chains - Rainier Fog (2018)I have loved what the 2010s offered from Alice in Chains but Rainier Fog gets the bigger nod for me with songs that show Duvall and the boys can still churn out some awesome depressive grunge.

One of my favorite albums from 2019 is this one from Indian Metal band Kryptos. Still am enjoying this album big time ! For me it reminds strongly of the traditional metal from the eighties

Testament - Dark Roots of Earth (2012)Since their return with The Formation of Damnation I feel Testament has been on a massive roll and the follow up at the time in Dark Roots of Earth I feel even surpassed that album. Perfect production, the sound was phenomenal and it had some great melody throughout especially the track Cold Embrace. They still maintain a lot of heaviness and catchy riffs on this album. I got the edition with bonus tracks and loved their cover songs on those tracks especially the Powerslave cover. To this day I think this is the best of the recent stretch of albums with Titans of Creation just behind. Absolute must listen for metal fans. Cold Embrace

Still one of my favorite albums of the decade. Love this 2012 album and love their raw bluesrock. It's one I keep returning to on a regular base

Nightwish - Imaginaerum (2011)My album of 2011. I feel this album really evolved from what they did on Dark Passion Play and incorporated more cinematic elements, elements of jazz and even blues. I still feel emotionally invested whenever I listen to this album. Anette really shined better on this record with much of the concepts suiting her style. Tuomas really wrote an album of pure genius with Imaginaerum. Storytime Turn Loose The Mermaids

Toxic Holocaust - Conjure and Command (2011)If ever there was an essential thrash metal album in the 2010's it would be at least Conjured and Command. I feel like Toxic Holocaust really hit their groove on this with a great sound, awesome thrash and a roughness that bordered on Black Metal as well. The length time around 30 minutes really helps too as it's no filler and it's quick. One of the best albums in the 2010s.

Hanging Garden - Into the Good Night (2019)One of Finland's finest bands and they put out last year a phenomenal album. They blend melodeath and doom to beautiful levels of execution. Feels like a mix of Katatonia, Insomnium in parts. An essential band and album. Into The Good Night has the perfect mix of atmosphere from melodeath and doom mixed together. It is an enjoyable experience.

Still one of my favorite albums of the decade (2013). I was really looking forward back then to the album when I heard there would be another album with Ozzy and I certainly wasn;t disappointed by it, very much to the contrary. I still play the album quite often and love all the songs on it. Age of Reason is my favorite track from it but as I said, love all the other tracks as well !
